Hi, my name is Elena.
I’m a South African filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Barcelona, with a background in documentary filmmaking and a special interest in screendance and creative collaborations.
Having lived and worked in different parts of the world, I’m drawn to stories that feel honest, human, and emotionally grounded.

I have over four years of experience in videography and editing, and three years working as a content creator for brands and social media. My work blends cinematic storytelling with a strong sense of audience and intention.

Recent projects include MUV Screendance (2023–ongoing), a collaborative project featuring dancers from all walks of life; La Luz Invisible (2021), a feature-length documentary on survivors of domestic violence; and Mi Tierra Entera, a screendance film exploring immigration, screened at The Place in London, selected for the Choreoscope Barcelona Dance Film Festival, and previously streamed on Filmin.

Whether you’re looking for a documentary-style wedding film, a brand video that speaks directly to your audience, event coverage, or an artistic collaboration, I’d love to chat and see how we can work together.
